Good afternoon Geo, i think Lop is talking about Coufal Antonio and Ings when he tallks about not having a two for two .. lets be honest they're pretty much surplus to requirements along with Zouma , and i doubt they are gonna play 2nd fiddle to AWB and The Fulk .

I think the only thing we are missing from that 3 in midfield is a Paqueta understudy. We have 2 for defensive midfield in Alvarez and Rodriguez. We have 2 RCM in Soucek and Ward-Prowse. But for LCM we only have Paqueta. We lack some creativity when he’s missing so Soler could be perfect for this, with Irving to go out on loan and free up the space.

We don’t need Soler to be a defensive tackling type of player. We have Guido and Alvarez for that. We need someone that can link the play and open teams up. Soler’s stats look amazing, although playing for PSG, my stats would look good too.

Paquetá is an 8. He’s wins the ball back constantly and keeps possession very well. I want him there.

What midfielder will we move on to make way for him?

Some players can cover more than one position so unlikely you need a full two players for one position

I think Soucek will be sold. Great club servant and I wish him well wherever he goes but he doesn't fit in now and if we sign Soler it'll then be all about departures.

And it's goodbye also to the regular spankings, the 6-0s, the 5-0s, the 4-1s. and the shipping of hatfuls of goals. All of that is behind us. Lopetegui is a proper manager. Unlike Moyes he will make use the talent he has available, which after all these signings is an abundance of riches. Plus we have no Thursday night trips to Slovenia or Slovakia. Forget 7th, we should be aiming to give Villa a lesson on Saturday and set down a marker as a serious top 4 contender this season. A good season is being in the top 4 conversation all the way through to the end of the season.

Carlos Soler is a Lopetequi choice so one can only think he has a clear idea of how he will use him. Trust in Lope .

I'd like Chalobah rather than ZeZe. The other players J-Lo wants, I'm not fussed about them, but we should refrain from signing sick-note Abrahams. It's not my money, but I still do think we should sign Duran. Mubama is talented & may surprise us yet if he's taken under Pep's wing, but will Pep be there at City next season is the real question?
